Ayrshire Coast

Craig Tara Holiday Park nestles amongst Ayrshire’s gently rolling hills, offering amazing views of the Firth of Clyde and the Island of Arran.  As one of the most beautiful holiday parks in Scotland, Craig Tara is the perfect holiday location for those who wish to enjoy a spectacular setting, a whole host of outdoor and indoor attractions, and first class on-site entertainment and fun for all the family.

Holiday Park entertainment includes two show venues, a pool complex with flumes and slides, an indoor sports complex with roller discos and climbing wall, multi-level soft play area and crazy golf.  We cater for serious golf enthusiasts too, with our sea-facing, 9-hole, 3-par golf course.

The recently refurbished indoor pool complex includes a new toddler’s pool, multi-lane speed slide, Lazy River, water jets, waterfalls and flume rides.

With all of Ayrshire & Arran – often described as ‘Scotland Encapsulated’- for your playground, beautiful sandy beaches on your doorstep, and proximity to the nearby town of Ayr, with its shops, theatre, pubs, clubs, restaurants, and historical links with Robert Burns, we are sure that you will love this area.

Join us at Craig Tara where, whatever the weather, this holiday destination offers young and old lots to see and do, and that’s why many of our guests return year after year. Like them you’ll find our holiday park a gorgeous and exciting place to stay.  We look forward to welcoming you to Craig Tara soon.

Craig Tara

Nothing makes a tummy rumble like an action-packed day at the beach. Grab steaming fish and chips from our traditional fish and chip shop, a Chinese takeaway, or there’s plenty of choice in our SPAR shop to pack a picnic or whip up food in your holiday home. You might want to try something new when you’re staying with us, perhaps one of our tasty specials? Our chefs will be cooking up some lovely dishes, many of which celebrate and are inspired by the seaside.
You can count on us to help keep your family entertained everyday of your holiday. When you arrive we’ll give you a guide to all the fun, family activities we’ll have on each morning, afternoon and evening. Our daily entertainment schedule includes morning and afternoon activities that are organised by our FunStars and members of the Seaside Squad. And at night our FunStars take to the stage to show their hidden talents – as glamorous live performers. Plus, we’ll be bringing you some extra special acts on selected dates through the summer!
Our kids’ clubs are here to help you keep your kids entertained. Don’t worry if they’re a bit shy. Our FunStars will soon get your youngsters playing happily with other kids of their age. That’s the other thing we do, we provide four exclusive clubs, for kids of different ages, with activities and games that are suitable for them. And whilst they’re having fun, you can mingle with the other parents or even join in if you’re up for it.
Think for a moment. What is it that makes the kids chatter with delight after a day outdoors? Is it catching a bucketful of crabs? Spotting rare butterflies? Or playing rounders in the sand? We know that simple pleasures are the best. Which is why we want you and your family to get outside and make the most of our natural surroundings. This way, Grandma can take the kids to forage in rock pools. Dad can spend hours building sandcastles. And you can all get together to fly kites, throw frisbees and find seashells – day after happy day!
And get a piece of the action. Ever seen Grandad with a bow and arrow? You soon will! We offer fun activities for every age – yes, even archery and fencing. And best of all, you can all learn together. So, go on, get in some family target practice. Or try to keep up with your little Tarzans on our climbing wall. Hire a kart and pedal around the park, or how about a round of golf on our 9-hole course with sea views? We have grassy spots for impromptu games of cricket and rounders, or you can get together for a game of football on our all-weather multi-sports court.
